Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team in the EdTech software services industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new market opportunities, forging strong partnerships, and developing strategic sales initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of the education technology sector, software solutions, and the ability to align our offerings with the needs of educational institutions, corporate training programs, and other relevant stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research & Strategy: Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to develop a strong sales and business development strategy.
- Lead Generation & Sales: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and leveraging digital marketing strategies.
- Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers in educational institutions, corporate training firms, and government agencies.
- Partnership Development: Collaborate with EdTech companies, educational institutions, and technology partners to enhance service offerings and expand market reach.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Track sales performance, prepare reports, and forecast revenue growth to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Proposal & Contract Negotiation: Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and pricing strategies to win new business.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with product, marketing, and customer success teams to tailor solutions that meet client requirements.
- Market Research & Strategy: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and webinars to increase brand awareness and credibility.
- Education: Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-6 years in business development, sales, or partnership management in the EdTech, SaaS, or IT services industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of EdTech solutions, LMS platforms, e-learning software, and digital transformation in education.
- Sales & Negotiation Skills: Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets with excellent negotiation and deal-closing skills.
- Communication & Presentation: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to analyse data, derive insights, and apply them to business strategies.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with CRM tools, lead management systems, and digital marketing techniques.
- Self-Motivated & Team Player: Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
